Abstract:
The current international economic and financial crisis has determined the financial information users to give a special attention to the financial instruments’ field. An increased interest in this direction has been shown also by the recent projects of The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). Thus, the present paper analyses the implementation possibilities of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS/IFRS) issued by IASB regarding the classification of financial instruments by taking into consideration the current Romanian legislation; in addition, the case study aims at clarifying the initial recognition of Forex rolling spots. \r\n\r\n
