Abstract:
The cycle of seminaries on the topics “Financial audit approaches in 2006” continued in Timisoara, in the aula of Laws Faculty of the Western University. This event enjoyed of a great interest, the local mass media presenting this seminar workings. \r\n\r\nIn the interview granted to Radio Timisoara station, Mr. Ion Mihailescu, PhD. President of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania said: \r\n„We are here in Timisoara for a working meeting with financial auditors of the Western part of the country, four – five counties, in order to identify the major challenges the Banatean business environment is confronting with, on the one hand, and than to find solutions needed for their solving and in order to promote a new environment for the audit profession and for the financial auditors in Romania. I have been impressed by the attendance of the local financial auditors, by the attendance of trainees, but especially by the attendance of the representatives of the users of the accounting and financial information, representative of banks, of local administration, respectively of the public finance division, but also from other institutions. We hope to make good things in Banat, as we have already done in other part of the country. “\r\n\r\nThe basic materials have been presented by Mr. Ion Mihăilescu, PhD. President of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania – „Chamber Strategy and working plan for 2006”, Mr. Horia Dumitru Cristea, Phd - „Accounting regulations conform with the European Directives”, Mr. Marius Vorniceanu, member of the Chamber’s Council „The important role of the non-active financial auditors in the professional organization”, Mrs. Carmen Mataragiu, member of the Chamber’s Council „Recent developments in the financial reporting”, Mr. Emil Culda, Vice-president of the Chamber - „IFRS a new challenge for the accounting professionals. \r\n\r\nThe article points out some ideas and opinions on the announced topics considering that the topics have been discussed in depth when presenting the previous seminars.\r\n
