Abstract:
As professionals, to maintain the highest moral standards accountants must adhere to a code of conduct, a code of ethics. They are responsible not only to those who have committed and to customers, but also to the society. A survey in 1988 on a sample of over a thousand American personalities in economic, education and political fields, has classified the accounting profession second after the clergy, regarding the highest ethical standards.\r\n
