Abstract:
As we know, according to “Regulation for organizing and functioning of Chamber of Financial Auditors from Romania (CFAR)” and to “CAFR Decision, no.9 from 2001, the main objective of the continuous professional education is to mantain professional competence of the financial auditors in order to perform the financial audit activities conform to the standards, norms and rules in the area.\r\nIn this context, the mission of the faculties with an economic profile and in special in the accounting field is to offer university training programs and continuous professional education courses at the international and European standards.\r\n\r\nAnother important program on continuous professional education for the financial auditors is the master program on „Business accounting” organized by Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, in cooperation with Accountancy Tuition Centre Ltd. (ATC International) from Great Britain. The program assures complete training for examination in order to obtain ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certificate in accordance with the new ACCA curricula in 2007.\r\n\r\nIn conclusion, we can say that both university environment and CFAR have done important progress in order to offer continuous professional education program to its members in accordance with the professional requirements and with the international standards in this area.\r\n
