Objectives, tasks and responsibilities of internal control and internal audit in the public entities

Abstract:
According to the changes and completions to the Company Law no. 31/1990, republished, in the commercial equity companies and in the state owned companies the censors, or if this is the case, the internal auditors have to oversee the company managements, to check if the financial statements are prepared with the observance of the legislation in force and in accordance with the books, if the books are regularly kept and if the assets evaluation has been made in accordance with the rules applicable for financial statements preparing and presentation, with reference to all these aspects in their report. \r\n\r\nThe internal control has to develop policies and procedures for risks diminishing, while the internal audit has to signalize the possible disfunctionalities in internal control assessment. \r\n\r\nThe internal audit and internal control are not the same, the latest representing a set of organizational and methodological measures taken by the leadership of the public entity in order to ensure a legal and effective management and to attain the managerial objectives. \r\n
