Abstract:
This article explores the audit mission of pension funds in Romania. \r\nThe purpose of this paper is to launch a debate on the role and scope of the statutory audit function in the context of the regulatory framework for private pension system. Moreover, the author believe that a realistic analysis of the audit mission of private pension funds in Romania will identify: where we are today, where we are going, where we want to go and how we get there.\r\nIn accordance with the legal framework applicable to financial audit reports, the research is based on the analysis and interpretation of annual financial statements for the financial years 2008 – 2011.\r\n
