Abstract:
The world is tormented by the present and far from over crisis. Many analysts and researchers seek the causes of the crisis to remove its effects. No crisis ever experienced has revealed its causes concretely. The objective of this paper is to show the valences of ethics and values, on the one hand, in business and in one’s profession, and on the other hand, the problems faced by people in positions of employment, management and governance in a capitalist society, the objectives of which do not seem to include the promotion and application of moral values. A primary cause may be found in the absence of ethics and morality in business resulting in acts of corruption, fraud, errors with dramatic effects that have lead to the crisis with maximum risks of bankruptcy of many economic or public entities. Ethical valences were put face to face with competitive intelligence as ways to ensure continuity of the entity thus validating this paper’s hypotheses and research methodology.
