Abstract:
One of the objectives of corporate governance principles is to increase the performance of economic entities, namely to maximize net asset value accounting, and, by default, any money which are due to shareholders. This objective can be achieved only under conditions in which rights of shareholders, the right to property, right to be informed, the right to participate in the deliberations and decision-making, the right to elect governing bodies, the right to use company funds, the right to receive benefits, the right to repay the amount of contributions from dissolution and liquidation of the company. This study aims to address the conceptual and empirical issues concerning the rights of shareholders in public companies listed on a regulated market in Romania.\r\n
