Abstract:
At 6 November 2013, at the central offices of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania, a regional professional meeting was organised, entitled „Benefits of using the International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and the Current Audit Reform Proposals” .\r\nThe purpose of this meeting, held at the initiative of Prof. PhD. Horia Neamțu, CAFR President and of the Council, was the exchange of experience and good practices, in the context of current challenges facing the accountancy and auditing profession in the South-Eastern European region.\r\nThe professional debates put together presidents and high level representatives of auditors and professional accountants organizations in Azerbaijan (Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic), Georgia (Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Georgia), Republic of Moldova (Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova), Russia (Russian Collegium of Auditors and the National Institute of Professional Accountants, Financial Managers and Economists - Samara) and Ukraine (Union of Auditors of Ukraine, Chamber of Auditors of Ukraine), as well as financial auditors, members of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania. Among the attendants we can also mention TV, radio and written press Romanian journalists, who ensured the detailed media coverage of the event.\r\n
