Abstract:
Economic and financial activity of companies worldwide recorded multiple and rapid changes due to increased globalization and thus, increased competition. Through the European integration, Romania aspires to achieve the basic objective of economic and social convergence with the developed countries, which highlights the importance of good corporate governance and a quality audit that ensures financial disclosure.\r\nThe aim of the research is to analyze the degree of adoption of corporate governance policies on practices of financial disclosure. Non-participating observation method was applied by recording a series of information reported in "Comply or Explain" Statement by listed companies and quoted on the categories I, II and III to the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the period from 2011 to 2013.\r\n\r\n
