Abstract:
Abstract: Assuring the quality of financial information supposes the auditing of financial statements reported, by an auditor in order to issue a qualified opinion, based on the received engagement. This study proposes the statistical analysis of the audit opinion influence on the value relevance of the financial information. GLM (General Linear Models) models were used to analyze the data collected from a sample of 59 Romanian companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE), observed between 2012 and 2013. The results of the study emphasize the effect of the audit opinion on the value relevance of the financial information reported by the Romanian listed companies.\r\n
